Hello, Sarah . . .

I just discovered this message board and was surprised to find your 2007 post regarding my maternal great-grandparents' gravesite. The only time that I have been at the site was in the late 1980's during a family 'field trip' when my mother and one of my aunts took several of my cousins and myself to each place they had lived while growing up. The farm where these graves are located was included since our grandmother had been born there. At that time the graves were somewhat overgrown, but protected by a fence that kept the field's resident cows away from the stones. Charles H.Marks' grave stone was already secured by the pipes and cords at that time. I don't know when that was done.

The only news that I've heard since that time was that the original 'farmhouse', which was a beautiful old home, had burned down. I'm not sure who owns the property at this time.

Do you have any further information on the condition of this site? I don't live in Virginia, but still have family there.
