I am searching Watkins family ties.There was a James Madison Watkins born 1825-died 1888.Supposedly born in Kentucky and died in Perry,Illinois.The 1870 Perry County,Illinois census has him living with Alexander Watkins and Jane Hines Watkins.Also there is James' daughter Mary J Watkins who married a Tucker.James is listed as blind.Looking further I found that he was in a home for the deliquent.The blindness is said to be from an accident.Is this the same James Madison Watkins you have listed here and if so,do you know what caused the blindness and who the parents were.Thanks
