Bob, go to the Google (google.com) search page and type in which battle you are looking for. When it starts putting suggestions up there, you will see a blue link at the top that says "Advanced Search". Click that. Then put the battle name on the first line and "Confederate (or Union) order of battle" on the second line. It will usually result in a Wiki entry and in some cases a NPS entry. I've found this technique very helpful. However some smaller engagements will not pop up right away. But you can tweak this advanced search page to suit your needs. You can do the same thing when searching anything. The advanced search option lets you pinpoint your search. Happy hunting.
