Hello, I am looking for any information on Captain Joseph Jackson Hopkins of Nelson, Virginia. He is my 3xgreat grandfather. I believe he may be referenced in a book entitled “The Confederate Soldier” as Capt. J.J. Hopkins, the organizer of the Howardsville Grays. Can anyone help me verify this?
