Looking for information on John A. Fulwider. He was b. 1847 and d. 1920. He settled in the New Market area of Montgomery County, IN. His bio in the 1872-1972 Centennial Book states that he was a drummer boy in the War. I found him in another place as a Confederate soldier who settled in Montgomery County. Were drummer boys assigned to regular outfits or placed in an outfit with their father? How would I go about finding a unit for him? He is buried at Indian Creek Hill Cemetery in Montgomery County.
