My 3rd great grandfather, Johnson Hughes, joined the Confederate army in Craigs Co., Va. circa 1863 (I believe). I saw the record once, but the site no longer exists where I saw it. I believe he was medically discharged due to a wound he later died of. Any information on this unit, and on my great grandfather would be appreciated!
