Re: Lee's Operations July 15-Aug 1 1863

Lastly, Eric Wittenberg recently blogged about a third book in the authors’ Gettysburg “trilogy”, which will focus on the Army of Northern Virginia and the Army of the Potomac from July 15 to August 1, 1863. The working title is For Want of a Nail: The Retreat and Pursuit of Lee's Army of Northern Virginia, July 15-August 1, 1863. This period has never been covered in any detail by any modern treatment. We're researching diligently now.

I have read Eric's first two books in this trilogy Plenty Of Blame which is about Stuart's ride to Gettysburg and One Continuous Fight which covers Lee's retreat and Meade's pursuit of Lee July 4-14th. You may have read these but I love Eric's books he has a great writing style weaves in personel accounts he is very even treating both sides fairly. I can't wait fpr the thrid book.
