Co B, 20th Virginia Heavy Artillery Battalion = St. Bride's Artillery, Norfolk County, formerly Capt George A. Martin's Co Va Hvy Arty, originally intended as a company of Lt Arty; never received field guns; enlisted June 26, 1861 for 1 year; reorganized March 9, 1862; temporarily attached to 14th Regt Va Inf; assigned this battalion by S.O. No. 143, A&IGO, dated June 21, 1862; by this same order, Capt Robert R. Kyle's Co Va Hvy Arty was disbanded and 39 members were assigned to this company; company transferred from this battalion by S.O. No. 96, A&IGO, dated April 25, 1864, and assigned as Co I(2nd), 38th Regt Va Inf.
