James Taylor Hendrick/s, enlisted as a Private into Company D (Henrico Guard), 15th Virginia Infantry on May 13, 1861 at Richmond, Virginia, subsequently advanced 3rd Corporal, 1st Corporal, 2nd Sergeant and finally 1st Sergeant on May 16, 1864, captured at Five Forks, Virginia April 1, 1865 and transferred to City Point April 4 and subsequently sent to Point Lookout, Maryland POW camp, released at Point Lookout June 13, 1865, died February 7, 1897, buried in Hollywood Cemetery, Richmond, Virginia
