Hi, I am new to this site. I am searching for info on my Great Great Grandfather, Jacob Sowder. His wife Rhoda Sowder filed for and recieved a pension for Jacob. The application states that he died in Richmond,VA in the hospital, in 1862. It also states he was in Stuarts Horse Artillery. He was from Floyd Co.VA. That is all the info I can find. So far I have not found any military records, any help would be greatly appreciated.
