In looking for conscripts added to the First Tennessee Regiment in March of 1864,
I have run across the notation "transferred to Dept. of the Henrico by order of General Lee
to be re-enrolled." Does anyone familiar with this department have any information they
could share? The men in question were from East Tennessee and were probably unionists.
I am trying to identify all members of the regiment and wonder if there is some way to
locate and identify them. Mike
