Born VA circa 1818.

Farmer, age 42, 6th District, 1860 Rockbridge Co. Census.

Enlisted in Lexington on 4/18/1864, age 47, 5'8" tall, fair complexion, light hair, blue eyes, commissioner of revenue at Cedar Grove Mills.

Commissioner of Revenue, age 50, Walker's Creek District, 1870 Rockbridge Co. Census.

Deputy Sheriff and farmer.

Died at Rockbridge Baths on 7/14/1892, age 77.

Buried in Baths Methodist Church Cemetery, located on bluff across from Rockbridge Baths.
