Thank you for the source reference. That is odd. Pvt. George Cox was Alpheus' brother. He also had a brother named Thomas, but I'm not sure if he served. There were three Cox's listed in Bland County - Confederate Pension Rolls, Veterans and Widows:
Cox, A M Soldier
Cox, Geo C Soldier
Cox, Matilda F Widow
