I hope this effort is going well for you. Thanks to the SCV camp in Blountville, I was recently able to complete the process for my gg grandfather Parker who served with the 63rd VA and is buried in Wyndale, Virginia next to his second wife. His grave was unmarked. The VA paperwork is a bit time consuming but leads to fine results. You'll need the cooperation of a local funeral home for delivery. The VA requires that, plus enough to convince them that you have permission to enter the property and install the stone or other marker. Good luck!
