i am searching for the military unit of alanson farmer,
he was born abt 1817 in virginia, lived in tazewell county
1850 and 1860, then vanished, i have searched for him for 20 some years now. he had sons in the 45th virginia, i have
found an alanson farmer in the 54th virginia, but he was to
young to have been my ancester. in feb. 2007. i was searching another line of family, when i see in a county
history where a son of alanson farmer, says that his father
joined the confederate army late in the war, and was killed
at battle of kings salt works. this county history was
written in 1903,. so i believe in the accuracy of this
individuals account. thank you
