Thank you so much for the info. Looks like a great book!

I've already called our local "Local History" book store and they are going to try and stock the book.

My ancestors served in Captain Lurty's Company Virginia Horse Artillery (Co H?), 20th VA Cavalry (2 brothers); and Company I, 20th VA Cav (3rd brother). A fourth brother (my Great-Grandfather) was the youngest and he was forced to stay home and work the farm. The two brothers in the artillery were captured, one died in a POW camp in Michigan. The surviving brother was so messed up when he came home that even to my generation children were told "Behave, or we'll give you to Uncle Archie."

I wish I had known more about my family history when I lived near Richmond - I would have visited The Archives of the Confederacy looking for more details.

Books like the one you've listed for me will help bring their lives from wisps of memory to a new level of sincere understanding.

Thank you again!
