Hello,
I’m looking for info on Samuel Williams family & a connection to Harpers Ferry, Potomac River, finding two infants floating down river in front of plantations. Samuel Williams was helping out owner of plantation & happened to be there.... he brought one of the children, Anna to his home in Back Creek Virginia, in Frederick County. Anna would be my 3x great grandmother, based on a written story I have from that branch of the tree.

I’m stuck & can’t find birth or death records for Samuel Williams born abt. 1825 & died before 1900. He married Sarah Catherine Pitcock.
