Does anyone have any information on Camp Seminary, Alexandria, VA? My g-g-grandfather John Trainer, a Union soldier in the NJ 4th Regiment, was wounded at the Battle of Gaines Mill. He lay on the battlefield for 3 days and was then taken to Libby Prison where he had his leg amputated by a Confederate surgeon. He was exchanged at City Point and then transferred to Camp Seminary. He was discharged from there In Oct. '62. I wonder if Camp Seminary might be Faifax Seminary Hospital or a separate 'facility' and site?
