40 Year Old Hardtack

One of the most interesting relics brought to the reunion is a cracker or, as is known in army circles, hardtack, which was picked up on the field of Gettysburg by Lounds Sanders, of the Second Virginia Cavalry, Second Brigade, and sent to Miss Lelia Roberts Perkins, now Mrs. A. J. Hall, of Hartsville, Tenn. The cracker is wonderfully preserved and is almost priceless to Mrs. Hall.
