ALCON,
Brooke's Station, Virginia is present-day Brooke, Virginia in Stafford County. The area was first held by Confederate forces that were stationed there in support of the batteries around Aquia Landing and then was home to the winter quarters Army of the Potomac during the Winter of 1862-63. If anyone gets over to White Oak Museum in White Oak, Virginia, D.P. Newton is the foremost expert on Stafford County, Virginia during the war. Unfortunately, a lot of records were destroyed during the war so a lot of information he's acquired as been by descendants of those Soldiers who served in Stafford County as well as his own research and relic hunting of the area.

Respectfully,
Brent Reidenbach
