Confederate Memorial Day Report

We celebrated Confederate Memorial Day at Soldier's Rest (the Confederate Cemetery) in Vicksburg, Mississippi.
We presented a Series of Bio Sketches honoring the people with Confederate ties buried in the huge Civilian Cemetery that emcompasses "Soldier's Rest."
Two of the men we honored were;
John Francis Lauderdale, presented by a descendant, who served in the Army of Northern Virginia.
David Montjoy Coud, a Native of Virginia, who served in the Confederate Secret Service in Virginia and Washington,migrated to Vicksburg after the War as a School Teacher. Major Cloud is buried in the family plot still in use today.
