William C. Petty, Private, Company C, 4th Virginia Cavalry, enlisted February 10, 1864 in Madison County, Va. by Capt. Strother for the war, receipted for an issue of clothing December, 1864, paroled at Gordonsville, Va. May 29, 1865, resident of Culpepper County, Va.

Note, last recorded present at the April, 1864 muster, their being no further Company C muster rolls in the records
