One rarely finds enlistment records in these soldiers records. Personal descriptions are sometime found in Discharge Certificates and POW records which is the case here.
I have no records of his relatives.

Note, his pension application form did not require supporting witnesses, nor did the Virginia Pension Board seem to query the Adjutant General, War Department to validate his honorable service as was the case with a number of other States.
