Three brothers from the Halifax/Pittsylvania area were of age to serve in the war. I understand that Daniel died in the Seven Days campaign but don't know details. I have seen brother William referred to as Col. William but don't know details. Brother John would have been about 45 when war broke out and I would like to know if he served at all - which could well have been active or in reserves or home guard due to his age. Thanks.
