Several yrs. ago my husband had contacted this site about his great grandfather Mark W Abshire. He received information from the site that Mark had been in several campaigns and had been wounded in 3 different battles. I am confused because according to the records Mark did not join the 42nd infantry till 1864 and 2 of the battles occurred before his enlistment date. Can you help me solve this? Thank You
