Here's what they recorded for their activities at the time

Company B Record of Events

June 30 to Oct. 31, 1862, dated November 2, 1862, stationed at Camp Allen near Berryville

July 1st Company was engaged in the Battle of Malvan Hill. On the 4th returned to Richmond from thence to Gordonsville and was engaged in the Battle of Cedar Run on the 9 Aug. Returned to camp near Gordonville, from thence to the Rappahanock, on the way to Manassas Junction where we arrived on the morning of the 27 August. Was engaged in the several battles before Manassas as on the 28, 29, & 30 during which we lost one 2 Lieut. mortally. From thence via Leesburg across the Potomac in Maryland via Frederick City, Boonsboro, Williamsport crossing back into Va. thence to Martinsburg changed camp several times, now stationed at camp near Berryville.
