63rd Virignia Infantry Melvin Norman

My relative Melvin R Norman was in the 63rd Virginia Infantry. He was described in Jeffrey Weaver's book on The 63rd Virginia Infantry as "on the march" in July 3, 1864. I have a copy of his widow's, Elizabeth Lyons, pension application. In it she states the following: They married in 1861 in Alleghany County, North Carolina. Melvin's Commanding Officer was Thomas B. Hampton. Melvin died at Watauga.
I am trying to locate letters he sent to his wife during the Civil War. In an earlier post dated 2004, a Mike Barrett stated he has letters Melvin R Norman wrote to his wife. Contacted webmaster as that site is now inactive but no contact from Mr Barrett. It is possible we are related. Any help would be appreciated.
