Record of Events, Captain Young’s Company

May 10, 1862, left Norfolk in boats, arrived in Suffolk the same day. May 11th, left Suffolk by trains and arrived in Petersburg May 12th. June 9th left Petersburg by train arrived at the Halfway Station the same day, reported to Brig. Gen’l Wal?? quartered there . June 13th marched to Field works in rear of Dewey’s Bluff. June 24th left Field works in rear of Dewey’s Bluff, crossed James River to Chafin’s Bluff. Reported to Colonel Page Com’d. Post. [They remained at Chafin’s Bluff through Feb. 28, 1865 when their record ends]
