Skirmish at W. P. Davis House, Aug. 31, 1864

All,

I am looking for information on the skirmish which occurred at the W. P. Davis house, near where the Vaughan Road intersects the Halifax Road north of Globe Tavern and south of Petersburg. I'm specifically looking for the regiments involved on both sides in order to do more research in regimental or battery histories. I'm stuck at this point. Ideally, I'd like to do a 10th anniversary post on this fight at my Siege of Petersburg Site (http://www.beyondthecrater.com).

Here is all I have right now:
• OR XLII, P2, page 636: Warren reported that at 10 am on August 31, about 150 Confederates advanced against the Davis House and drove in Fifth Corps pickets.

• Cyclopedia of Battles, Vol. 1: Davis' House, Va., Aug. 31, 1864. Pickets of 5th Army Corps. About 10 a. m. the enemy drove in the Federal outlying pickets at the signal station in the vicinity of Davis' house, capturing 8 men, wounding 3 and killing 1. The Confederate force, numbering 150, then retired.
