Additional tidbit....
... By April 1865 Young's Company/Howitzers were back across the river stationed at Drewrys Bluff garrison. When Richmond/Petersburg were evacuated, Young's Company along with Six other artillery batteries then at Drewrys Bluff were reformed and armed as an Infantry battalion, all under command of Major F. Smith (Killed on April 5th) Fought as Infantry in segment of Battle of Sailors Creek on April 6th, and what remained continued on to Appomattox. On April 9th; Young's Company surrendered with only 6 left remaining.
