I have some amazing news!!!!!

After 3 years of searching I have finally found my confederate ancestor BENJAMIN FRANKLIN WEST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
He is buried at singleton Church in Glouecster!!!!!!!!!!

Here's how I found him.

I went to the library and started looking at the county census for 1850 and 1860 I also looked at a book about the memorys of confederate veterans no luck there and a nice lady helped me do my research on ancestory.com (IT WAS FREE!!!) I found out more information than I could in years!!!

She printed out the county census for 1850 and 1860 his PENSION RECORD and it was on a REALY BIG piece of paper.

Now I can join the SCV!!!!!!

After 20 or so minutes walking around aimlessly like a zombie (no pun intended) I found...........him it was a very emotional experience for me as soon as I read what it was on the headstone I just broke down and fell to my knees.
I just tried so hard to hold back tears.

It read:

BEN F WEST
26th VA INF
C.S.A
DIED 1916

Funny thing about it was it was under an old holly tree.....

It should read

BENJAMIN F. WEST
1845-1916
26th Vol INF
C.S.A
LOVEING HUSBUND AND FATHER
"BLESSED ARE THE PEACEMAKERS"
