Apparently, by the note above, John Clark's roster information is only found in the Virginia Regimental History series book on the regiment. There is no information found in the Compiled Service Records.

Since the last surviving muster roll for Company K is that dated April 30, 1864, this could very well indicate that John enlisted some time after that date.
