Searching for letters, diaries and other accounts and mentions of the Battle of Lewisburg, fought May 23, 1862. Of particular interest are notes regarding the wounding of Confederates at that battle. There are no official casualty list of the battle, and their wounds are only mentioned in the compiled service records or other documents relating to the war.
