Capt J. S. A. Stilwele

I am reviewing records from Humble Cottage Lodge in Opelousas, La(I am the secretary) and I came across an entry dated 11-9-1863. The brothers of the lodge conducted burial services for a Capt Stilwele "who died of wounds on the battlefield of Bayou Bourbeau". I am not certain of the spelling of his last name as the record is in ink and is of course faded due to its age(original document). A check of Booth's La records failed to reveal anything close to this name. I think he may be a Texan as our friends to the west were heavily engaged in the campaigns in our area. He was not a member of our lodge as the membership roster does not list him. Any help would be appreciated as to the identity of this man. I am a member of our local SCV camp and we can not recall his grave in the area. It could now be unmarked or he may have been re-interred elsewhere. Thanks.
