A very bad boy indeed. Here's a few more interesting tidbits on this 19 year old discharged veteran/Farmer. His records
show he was present in battle June 27, 1862 [Gaines' Mill?].

Hard to believe Trenton Kennedy survived the wounds described!

Pvt. John W. Satin, Co. D, 1st Texas Infantry, 19 years old, was discharged September 2, 1862 "As Non Conscript."

Aldermen's Court.
--The monthly session of the Aldermen's Hustings Court commenced at 11 o'clock yesterday in the City Hall. Present: Recorder Caskie. Aldermen Bray, Timberlake, Clopton Sanxay Regnault, Lipscomb, and Gwatimay.

John W. Sartin → and Gideon B. Thompson were examined for having on the 7th of December, 1862 shot at and wounded Trenton Kennedy, a resident of Screamersville. The evidence showed that the pistol was discharged by ← Sartin → , though he and Thompson were together on the occasion of the shooting. Thompson was discharged and ← Sartin remanded for trial before the Judge.

--The Grand Jury of this Court reassembled to-day, to take cognizance of the cases not heretofore acted on, John Parcell, Esq., acting as foreman. After examining a number of witnesses, the following parties were indicted: . . . John W. Sartin, for maliciously stabbing Trenton Kennedy, with intent to kill, on the 7th of December, 1862;
