BN (Mattison's) at reorganization 21 Apr 1862; apaprently enlisted in 37 VA CAV BN (not supported by Muster rolls) Aug 62; appears with Co I, Hampton Legion Mounted Infantry as 5 CPL 8 Jul 64; presnet on remaining muster rolls for Legion for 1864, and paroled mounted with the company at Appomattox. Moved to Mississippi ca 1865; married Marcella McLaughlin at Meridian, Miss 3 Jan 1869; moved to Palo Pinto County, Tex ca 1874-75; then to Anderson County, TX ca 1891; Treasurer, Anderson County 1894-98; d. Palestine 14 Aug 1899.
