Re: Missouri Confederate Photos
In Response To: Missouri Confederate Photos ()

I am with a museum group in Arkansas.
I was successful in obtaining a photo of a young man in his Missouri milita uniform. He died here in central Arkansas in August of 1863 fighting for the Confederacy.
I feel sure his family would have been glad for me to share that with you if you wish to have a copy. His surname was Percival (or something close to that in spelling). If you want it, I will copy it and send it to you. If we do that, it is only proper that the acknowledgement be given to his late great grandson from Michigan. I do have all the proper names so there will be no doubt of who the man is or who donated the photo.
The family never really knew where he fell or where he was buried. By some research, I was able to nail down the spot he fell on the old Military Road just outside of the present day town of Jacksonville.
The man was young and had light colored eyes that were probably blue.
I can easily tell that and it appears as if he is looking through time and to be honest, it spooks me.
Just let me know and send me a real mail address and I will gladly share it with you.
