As a 4th generation Texan, now transplanted to Arkansas (27 years) and a student of WBTS...I've heard no reference to a "battle of the Ozarks." There were a couple of major clashes...Prairie Grove and Pea Ridge... that involved a fair number of Texas units in the Ozark Plateau (NW Arkansas) and no small number of other battles over the remainder of the state with Texas units involved.
