Thank you so much!!! You are a gentleman and a scholar. After Pvt. Walker (my ggfather) escaped, he made his way back to Mexia, Texas where he went back to work on the Spillar Ranch. He later joined Company L, 12th Texas and fought until the end of the war in 1865. It is my impression that Company K was formed to accomodate among others the former members of Company D, 10th Texas who escaped at Arkansas Post. He pass away in 1916 and is buried at the Authon Cemetery near Weatherford, Texas. Again, thank you for your help.
