Judy..your reference to him being wounded at the battle of "Stones Mountain, Murfreesboro, TN"...is probably the Battle of Stone River. There is currently a very nice military National Park and National Cemetery on the site, just north of Stone River on the outskirts of Murfreesboro. You should be able to pull up some info on the internet by typing in national military parks or just Stone River.
