HTBAR Seminar

Hood's Texas Brigade Association Re-activated is sponsoring a day and a half of history and fellowship on Friday and Saturday, November 12 & 13, 2021 at Schreiner University in Kerville, Texas.

Friday afternoon will involve a bus tour led by Dr. Don Frazier. We will visit Camp Verde where Jefferson Davis' Camel Corps was located in the 1850's. A Canteen Ceremony by the Hill Country SCV Camp #1938 at Center Point Cemetery where over 40 Confederate veterans are buried. A visit to the "Treue Der Union Monument" in Comfort. The end of the day will wind up with wine & whiskey tasting at local winery and distillery. Evening on your own @ Schreiner University’s Trailhead Beergarden, with food trucks and live music.

Saturday will include 5 speakers. Dr. Frazier on the 3rd Texas, CSA, Micheal Pittmon on the 1st Texas, CSA, Dr. Danny Sessums on Texans in the Trans-Mississippi, Barry Hendler on Confederate money, Scott Bowden on Robt. E. Lee. Includes a buffet lunch, live & silent auctions, book vendors, and exhibitors. Reception at The Texas Center, following the seminar.
