Hutcheson for the war, reported as sick in Richmond October 24, 1861, admitted Chimborazo Hospital. May 24, 1862, Diarrh, returned to duty July 6, again sent to Richmond hospital December 26, 1862, captured at Cashtown, Pa. July 4, 1863, patient at Gen. Hospital., Chester, Pa., July 31, 1863, sent to C. Point August 17, admitted CS Hospital., Petersburg, Va. August 20, 1863, applied for transfer to Texas, Hospital, Richmond September 4, 1863, transferred September 6, promoted 2nd Corporal March 7, 1864, promoted 5th Sergeant May 1, 1864, received slight wound in hand May 6, 1864,** furloughed for 60 days from Howard’s Grove Hospital, Richmond, Va. October 8, 1864, destination Selma, Ala. blue eyes, light hair, 5’ 9”, light complexion, receipted for an issue of clothing November 17, 1864, no further records
