CHALLENGE NOT TO BE ANGRY - removing history

At this risk of even more people upset with me - I cannot remain silent. Firstly, I am not in favor of any slavery of any race.

Every one knows the volatile situation in the US. That is not what I want to make comment about.

I do want to state it is deplorable that anyone is able to take down historical monuments. I just read the Black Lives Matter Movement is promising to remove monuments in New Orleans. They are focusing on the Andrew Jackson monument.

I feel angry and usually just keep quiet as to not stir the pot. Anger is just a symptom. My anger stems from hurt.

History is history. Even in Texas they are changing Names of schools and highways. And is Arizona. (Don't have the actual facts but can tet them easily)

All lives matter! past and present.

web master: If you must remove this post - I get it. I just wanted to vent and hopefully hear from others who are better historians and etc. Regards, Irin Smith (PS posting on LA too)
