The definition of the word Memorial as I use it is the Report on Find - a - Grave, not the Grave Stone. The Three Memorial Reports were submitted by Three different contribitors;.

John Riley of Co A, Waul's Texas Legion, has Three Memorials at Vicksburg City City (And Soldiers Rest). Remember, the write up not the Grave Stones, he has Two Grave Stones,

John Riley Memorial # 13918775, in the Civilian portion of the Cemetery, in an area controlled by John C Pemberton Camp, SCV. Has the stone with the Texas Star, Ancient, thought to have been placed by family or friends soon after his death September 30th, 1862. The Grave Stone has been broken and repaired a couple of times and is hard to read. The Memorial has the incorrect date of January 30th, 1862. I will, hopefully, have this changed and fill in other gaps.

John Riley Memorial # 19175343, in Soldiers Rest, V A Stone, dated October 04, 1862, probably a mistake, should be October 01st, the day he was buried, but a minor error no less. This memorial contribitored by Contribitor # 02.

John Riley Memorial # 131588237 placed by person # 03, Has No Stone, the death date is October 01st, 1862. DoD appears to be from the Sexton's Log and the date he was buried. There is no Grave Stone.
