Looks like he may have gone through life hobbling along with a gimpy leg. I do not find him on any pension list.

Hutcheson’s Company, Texas Volunteer’s*, enlisted July 19, 1861 in Anderson Grimes County, Texas for the war, wounded June 27, 1862 at Gaines Mill, Coal Harbor, Va., sent to the rear, captured at Sharpsburgh September 17, 1862, sent for exchange from Fort Delaware, Del. to Aikens Landing, Virginia November 10,1862, present at the end of year muster, recorded 2nd Corporal on the Jan/Feb, 1864 muster roll, elected 3rd Lieutenant March 7, 1864, received severe wound left arm at Chaffin’s Farm, May 6, 1864, registered at General Hospital No. 1, Lynchburg, Va. June 7, furloughed for 30 days July 21, present at the St. Francis de Sales Hospital, Richmond, Va. October 28, 1864, resigned for medical reasons, November 28, 1864, arm fracture and injury to left leg hamstring muscles

* This company subsequently became Company G, 4th Regiment Texas Infantry
