I enjoyed the discussion concerning the Teamsters.
Would only like to add, perhaps, they were a very important part of the army and required many of them.
It took Hundreds and I would suspose thousands of Wagons to move an army.
Each wagon required a Teamster to handle it and also each wagon required Two, or Four, or Six mules to pull it.
Thus; it soon becomes apparent that it required many men - Teamsters, wagons and mules, etc.
it was a huge operation and had to be done. the hard way,
