Does anyone have any information about Captain J W Kelly. My ancestor was a cavalry captain in Texas, he was married to my direct ancestor Olivia N Herndon from Nashville TX. I have letters from her brother Andrew who would have been in the same co or at least regiment. My GGG Grandfather was in 4th Ga infantry his name is Pickens Herndon and was mentioned by Andrew as being in Mississippi and meeting Captiain Jo as he is referred to in the letters from Andrew to Olivia. The only officer that I can locate is a Captain J W Kelly of 9th Texas cavalry regiment Co D. Thank you Bryan
