Per your first reply, I googled "Confederate Dead Gettysburg" and found several websites providing the details of the burial and relocation of southern soldiers killed or died of wounds at Gettysburg. I had never run across this fact in the years of reading and watching CW history or if I did, it did not sink in. Never too old to learn something new.

I was not researching the soldiers listed, but was researching another topic on microfilm newspapers when this article caught my attention. Although a distant cousin of J. W. Stevens of Co K who was also captured at Gettysburg, I do not know if the Wm. Stevens in the article was a relation or not at this time.
