That's pretty much the same information that I have found for his military record, he did have a few run-ins with Gen Steele. But overall, he was an excellent battle commander that never lost a major engagement. He apparently returned to Waco in the Spring of '64, before the brig. gen, appointment was consummated. He was a very prominent citizen in Waco, was responsible for Baylor relocating to Waco, among other events and actions. Thanks for your help!
