After researching the records of W.E. Alderson, 27 yrs, Capt, Co F, 9th TX Cav, being listed from Jefferson, TX the same town as George, is enough proof that he is the older brother. As for W.L. Alderson, 25 yrs, Pvt, Co F, 9th TX Cav, is probably the middle brother. Both W.E. and W.L. enlisted on the same day at the same location. W.E. was WIA at Cornith and survived the war, W.L. was KIA at Elk Horn Tavern.
